Lessons of the Mustard Seed
From my charm bracelet, worn as a girl, here is a charm holding a single mustard seed. THe mustard seed is used in many lessons and parables from the Gospels: In Mark, in Matthew, etc. My favorite is from Matthew Chapter 17, verse 20 on having faith in a mustard seed. The mustard seed is very small, but what grows from it is mighty in comparison. The mustard plant grows into a tree-like garden plant. Having faith like that of a mustard seed, and believing it will produce great things, can be a powerful faith indeed. It is also used to teach about the kingdom of God and that is grows mightily from small seeds thrown onto good receiving soil.
